SELINKO

 

1985

Selinko was born in Ankara, Türkiye. Since she has an artistic family, she grew up surrounded by art from an early age.

1999 - 2003

She earned the first place to enter the Painting Department at ATSO Antalya Anatolian Fine Arts High School and she graduated with honor degree. 

​

2004 - 2007

She also earned the first place to enter the Graphic Design Department of Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and she graduated from the University in the first place.

2008 - 2013

She worked as an art director in various companies in the gaming industry, which is her passion, in Istanbul.

​

2014 - 2021

She lived in Los Angeles, CA USA for 7 years. As a freelance illustrator, she took part in various game and advertising projects around the world with her illustrations and paintings. She participated in many artistic activities while living in Los Angeles. Thanks to the cosmopolitan nature of the United States, she had the opportunity to closely examine different cultures, design and artistic perspectives.

2022 -

As technology’s role in art production increased, the value of human craftsmanship and creativity also grew. This led Selinko to rediscover her love for traditional painting, shifting her focus from digital to traditional art. Following the Pandemic, Selinko decided to return to Türkiye. She is currently continuing her painting work in her own art studio, using her canvas as a playground for her dreams and artistic expression.

Selinko’s paintings offer a sensitive journey into the inner worlds of women. Figures that blend traditional Turkish motifs with modern lines connect the past and the present, while floral patterns add an elegant touch to these expressions. Through her vibrant use of colors and symbols, each artwork tells the story of her admiration for the strength and grace of women.​
